The questions clients ask most

Who will actually perform my treatment?

A named, trained practitioner, and you will know who before you arrive. You can request the same person for every visit. For advanced procedures the practitioner and their qualification are named on the treatment page.

Are there any risks or side effects?

Every treatment has some. The common ones are temporary redness, mild flaking, short-lived sensitivity and, with injectable treatments, small bumps or bruising. The main risk specific to higher-melanin skin is post-inflammatory pigmentation if treatment is too aggressive, which is why we start conservatively and build. Every risk relevant to your treatment is explained before you consent, and it is on each treatment page.

Does it hurt?

It varies. Facials, HydraFacial, dermaplaning and facial cupping are comfortable with no numbing. Peels involve tingling for a few minutes. Laser feels like a brief snap. Microneedling and skin boosters use topical numbing and most people rate them three to five out of ten. CO2 fractional laser is the most intense at around five to six. We will tell you honestly what to expect for your treatment.

Is there any downtime?

Most treatments have none. Peels range from none to five days of flaking depending on strength. Microneedling has 24 to 48 hours of redness. CO2 fractional laser has five to seven days. We tell you before you book so you can plan around work and events.

What is the post-treatment care routine?

Written aftercare is given after every session, specific to that treatment. Universally: SPF 50 daily and reapplied, no actives for the specified period, no steam, sauna, swimming or gym for the specified period, no picking at flaking skin, and gentle cleanser and moisturiser only while healing. Roughly seventy percent of your result depends on what happens between sessions.

How soon will I see results?

Facials and HydraFacial show immediately. Peels and laser show meaningful change from week three to four. Microneedling and collagen treatments take six to eight weeks, and continue improving for months. Nothing meaningful happens in one session, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling.

How long do results last?

Depends on the treatment and, more than anything, on sun protection and maintenance. Pigmentation results hold well with daily SPF and return without it. Collagen results last months to years with maintenance. Hair reduction is long-term with occasional top-ups.

What is the total cost, and are there hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs. Your full protocol cost, including the number of sessions and any recommended home care, is given at your free consultation before you commit to anything. We do not add charges mid-protocol and we do not sell you anything you were not told about at the start.

How many sessions will I need?

Most concerns need a minimum of six to eight sessions under a structured protocol. Some treatments need fewer. Your number is confirmed at assessment after we have seen your skin, not before.

What should I avoid before coming in?

Stop retinol and acids three to seven days before, and we will tell you exactly how long. No waxing, threading or plucking for a week, and four weeks before laser hair reduction. Avoid sun exposure and do not come with a fresh tan. Tell us about all medication, particularly blood thinners and isotretinoin, and about pregnancy.
