Skin Boosters
Injectable hydrating treatments delivered into the upper layers of the skin to improve hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality. Unlike fillers, they do not add volume or change facial shape — they improve the condition of the skin itself, gradually, over a course of sessions.

Who it is for
- Persistently dehydrated skin that does not respond to topical hydration
- Dullness and loss of skin quality
- Early fine lines from dehydration rather than volume loss
- Crepey texture, particularly under the eyes and on the neck
- Skin quality maintenance from the early thirties onward
Who it is not for
- Active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area
- Keloid-prone skin
- Bleeding disorders or blood thinners without medical clearance
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Anyone expecting volume, lift or a change in facial shape — that is a different treatment and not one we offer
- Anyone unable to commit to the full course
What skin boosters do not do
Worth saying plainly: they do not lift, they do not fill, they do not contour, and they do not lighten pigmentation. They improve the quality and hydration of the skin. If you want any of the other things, this is not the treatment and we will tell you so.
The Aglow method
We position skin boosters as a maintenance treatment rather than a correction. They work best in skin that has already been brought to a stable, healthy baseline, which is why they usually come after a barrier repair or brightening protocol rather than before it.
Aftercare
- Small raised bumps at injection points settle within 24 hours
- No makeup for 12 hours
- No gym, steam, sauna or swimming for 48 hours
- No facial massage or facials for 2 weeks
- SPF 50 daily
- Sleep on your back for the first night where possible
Frequently asked
Are skin boosters the same as fillers?
No. Fillers add volume and change contour. Skin boosters improve hydration and skin quality without changing shape. Aglow does not offer fillers.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is applied. Most people rate it three to five out of ten. It is a series of small injections rather than one, so the sensation is brief and repeated.
Is there downtime?
Small bumps at the injection points for around 24 hours, and occasionally light bruising for a few days.
How soon will I see results?
Two to four weeks after the first session, improving across the course. Full effect is usually visible around six to eight weeks after the final session.
How long do results last?
Typically six to nine months, after which a maintenance session is advised.
How many sessions will I need?
Three to four initially, spaced three to four weeks apart.
Are there risks or side effects?
Bruising, swelling and tenderness are common and short-lived. Less commonly, lumps, infection or an allergic response. Full risks are discussed at consultation before you consent.
Who will perform my treatment?
A named, qualified practitioner. You will be told who is treating you before your appointment.
