Hair Thinning

A reduction in hair density or diameter, with many possible causes. Several are medical, including thyroid dysfunction, iron deficiency, hormonal conditions, autoimmune causes, medication effects and nutritional deficiency.

Get the cause identified first. This is the most important thing on this page. Hair thinning is a symptom, and treating the scalp without knowing the cause rarely works. If your hair loss has not been investigated, see a doctor and get blood work — thyroid function, iron and ferritin, vitamin D and B12, and hormonal markers are the usual starting points. We will ask you about this at consultation, and if the answer is that you have not been checked, we will tell you to be checked before we take your money.

Local factors that contribute

  • Hard water — widespread across Chennai. Mineral deposit builds on the scalp and hair shaft, changing texture and contributing to breakage and scalp irritation.
  • Heat and humidity — more sweat, more product build-up, more scalp congestion
  • Water quality changes when you move — a very common trigger of sudden shedding that people rarely connect

What we offer, honestly

Korean head spa for scalp condition, build-up and comfort. Genuine and worthwhile, and it supports healthy growth without treating the cause of loss.

Exosome therapy for follicles that are thinning but still active, after the cause has been identified and is being managed.

Neither regrows hair in areas that have been bald for years. Those follicles are no longer viable and no scalp treatment changes that.

Frequently asked

Why am I losing hair?

There are many possible causes and several are medical. Blood work and a proper diagnosis are the right first step.

Can lost hair be regrown?

Follicles that are thinning but still active can improve. Areas bald for a long time have no viable follicles remaining.

Does hard water cause hair fall?

It contributes to build-up, texture change and breakage, and it irritates the scalp. It is rarely the sole cause of significant loss.

How long before I see improvement?

Reduced shedding within four to six weeks. Density change takes around three months, because hair grows slowly.

Do I need blood tests first?

If your hair loss has not been investigated, yes. We will say so at consultation.
